2020/2021 Movie List

  My movie-watching felt a little different this year. For the first time in probably 40 years I didn’t go to a single movie in the theater. I didn’t end up watching any fewer movies, in fact I watched quite a few more than the last couple years, in part because one of my pandemic routines was watching part of a movie almost every morning while running on a treadmill. Not quite the same as the big screen experience, but not a bad way to motivate myself to get up and run every day. Since most of the movies I watched this year were on Amazon or Netflix, there aren’t a whole lot of movies on the list that I didn’t like. If I started something that sucked, say Lovebirds, or Army of the Dead, then I just stopped and moved on to a better one. Without the big screen I’d say there weren’t as many highs, the movies that I loved that just blew me away, but there was at least something I enjoyed about every movie on the list.
